At North County Doodles, our adoption process is thoughtfully designed with one goal in mind: matching each puppy with their perfect forever home. We believe that the best placements happen when families and puppies are paired intentionally, based on lifestyle, expectations, and long-term fit—not on a first-come, first-served basis. This approach allows us to ensure every puppy is set up for a lifetime of love, stability, and success with their new family. A few things to note:

• We post a pregnancy announcement and expected delivery and take home dates

• You can submit your application at any time, regardless if we have puppies available

Our Adoption Process:

1. Fill out the adoption form so we can learn more about you, your home, and what you’re looking for in a puppy.

2. Chat with Bree to review your application, answer questions, and discuss which puppy may be the best match for your family.

3. Bree will send you an adoption contract to be completed and returned with your $500 deposit via venmo or paypal to reserve your puppy. The deposit is applied toward the final purchase price and secures your spot. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.

4. You will receive weekly pup-dates via text/email regarding the progress of your chosen puppy. Since we raise puppies within our home, and because their immune systems are fragile in the first 8 weeks, we don't allow for visitation prior to puppy-pickup day. We're happy to video chat and send pictures!

5. We'll coordinate a date and location to pick up your puppy, typically at 8 weeks of age. We're located in west Escondido and will deliver within a 20 mile radius at no extra cost.
